Random Ramblings and Happenings

Labor Day

on September 3, 2013

Nursery wipes this little girl out.

We went to Walla Walla to see my parents and my brother who was visiting with his family on Sunday evening and had dinner and plenty of dessert with them.

Andy even shared some of his ice cream with month old Rebekah.

The other kids all had ice cream cones.  This is Vincent with Rebekah’s three big brothers.

Abby liked her ice cream a lot.

I liked holding this sweet little girl a lot. (Her head was not that way long!)

It felt like it should rain outside, but I don’t think it ever did.  There was a beautiful pink sky with a rainbow between the trees while the kids played though.

Andy was tickling the nephews.  They are fun.

Enjoying baby Rebekah some more.  Abby wanted a turn to hold her.  Then Rebekah grabbed Abby’s face.  She thought it was pretty funny.

Olivia finally met her Sunday since she didn’t come with us on our little drive from Island Park to Idaho Falls the day after Rebekah was born (we were at a family reunion).

Abby’s finger is looking better these days.  It’s just been a month since the surgery and already her black fingernail fell off and a new one is growing.  The tip is still misshapen, but I think it’s already starting to curve the way it should.  We’ll see.

Monday we went up to Andy’s parent’s place in the mountains.  Sara and David were there visiting for the weekend too.  Olivia pushed Ezra on the swing for a bit.

Elizabeth had her first four-wheeler lesson from Andy.  She drove (slowly) and Andy walked next to her coaching her.  She did a good job.

Abby “walked” Scooter.  The leash was still attached to the tree and mostly she just followed him around that little path.

20130902_3060Abby had a ride on the four-wheeler with Andy.

Delicious burgers, cupcakes, cheesecake, and fun visiting with family.  And a bee sting.  Poor little Vincent was stung behind his ear lobe.  We put an ice pack on it and he was good as new in no time.

Grandkid picture on the new swing (along with a few daughters).  I think they were too busy playing to want a picture taken.

Holidays are always more fun spent with family!

Thanks for bringing dinner. I’m glad I could spend a little time when you were all there. I’m sure I missed some FUN!
